Crissy Field: Open Spaces and Iconic Views

Crissy Field is one of the most requested locations for family sessions — and for good reason. With wide open grassy fields, a calm beach, and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, it’s incredibly versatile. Kids can run free, and dogs are welcome too. The light here is magical in the hour before sunset, especially on a clear day. I usually recommend Crissy Field for families who want that classic SF feel with a laid-back vibe.

Lands End: Adventure Meets Coastal Beauty

If your family loves to explore, Lands End is a dream. The trails wind through cypress trees, along cliffs, and past the dramatic ruins of the Sutro Baths.
